Give Him Thanks
"Praise ye the Lord. O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth forever. Who can utter the mighty acts of the Lord? Who can shew forth all his praise?"
Psalm 106:1-2

Someone asked me "Why do you thank Jesus so much? He knows you appreciate what He has done for you." When someone was in darkness in his or her heart for as many years as I was, then it is only natural to praise and thank Him. He may know that I appreciate Him and thank Him, but just as you and I long to hear that someone loves us, He longs to hear us express our love and gratitude to Him.
Some of us have prayed every day for years for something, and then when our prayers were answered we only said thank you to Him one time. I prayed for years for someone with whom I could share my innermost feelings and thoughts with and He graciously gave me someone I could trust.
Jesus sent me a very dear and precious friend with whom I can share my heart and say anything without fear of ridicule or being criticized. I intend to thank Him the rest of my life. I may forget to do so every day, but it is my intent to thank Him.
One day He reached down His Loving Hand of Mercy, Grace, and Understanding and sat me on His Lap of Love and kissed away the tears of pain in my heart. There is no One like Jesus! There is no other Friend like Him. Our friends on earth will fail us, just as I will fail them because we are human, but Jesus never fails!
His Love is Unconditional and Eternal. Do you know this Precious Friend of mine? Have you thanked Him today for His Unfailing and Unending Love to you?
